Muesum of modern art

surrealism art
 (Hallucinogenic Toreador)
Surrealism is a 20th-century  movement in art and literature that sought to release the creative potential of the unconscious mind. The Hallucinogenic Toreador is an oil painting, painted by Salvador Dalí in 1970, following the canons of his particular interpretation of surrealist thought. It is currently being exhibited at the Salvador Dalí Museum. This painting is hard for anyone to depict but it is surreal art non the less. In this painting we see at the center of the canvas, the Venus’ green skirt a bullfighter’s tie. The middle figures left breast forms the bullfighter’s nose. The same red skirt is also the bullfighter’s cape hung over his shoulder. A cluster of dots and flies to the left of his tie becomes his sequined jacket. Daili basically took every aspect of a bull fighter to create this wonderful painting

Dada art
(Marcel Duchamp’s Mona Lisa altered and titled L.H.O.O.Q. done 1919, in France)

Dada art   is based on deliberate irrationality and negation of traditional artistic values, it takes imagines and re-imaginings them. Making each artwork or sculpture unique in their own way. Take the famous image of Mono Lisa by repainting her but with a bread Marcel Duchamp can call his work Dada. He just intended to make an artwork something else by altering it a little. In this case he made this work into a Dada master piece by drawing a breaded on one of the most famous painting of all time. That is the basic principle of any Dada masterpiece taking something and re imagining it turning it into something else.
